The cut-out looks wrong
Background removal works best when your pet stands clear of what is behind them. Try a photo with more contrast between your pet and the background, or one where they are not overlapping furniture of a similar colour.
My pet is not in the Dynamic Island
Open PetLift and tap the button to bring your pet to your iPhone. Apple ends any Live Activity after a period of time, so it will need starting again occasionally. Check that Live Activities are enabled for PetLift in the iPhone Settings app.
The widget is empty
Open PetLift once after adding a pet, then remove and re-add the widget. Make sure you have unlocked the app, since the widget shows your pet only after purchase.
I bought the unlock but it is not applied
Open Settings inside PetLift and choose Restore Previous Purchase, using the same Apple ID you bought it with.
Will my pets survive a restart?
Yes. PetLift saves your pets to disk with a backup copy, so restarting your iPhone or letting the battery die does not lose them.
