COD Deposit Rules Pro

Add-on for WooCommerce

Not every customer deserves the same deposit.

The free plugin charges every matching order the same amount. This one reads the customer’s own record with your shop and moves the deposit up or down accordingly.

$79 a year, one site. Cancel whenever you like.

Your regulars are not the problem

Refused deliveries cost you the shipping both ways and the restocking. But the people doing it are not the same people who have bought from you six times and taken every parcel. Charging both the same deposit is how you lose the second group to protect yourself from the first.

Proven customers pay less

Someone who has completed orders with you and never refused one can pay a smaller deposit, or skip it entirely and keep plain cash on delivery.

Refusers pay more

A record of refused deliveries raises the deposit, up to the whole order. Or you can take cash on delivery off the table for them completely.

Built from your own orders

The record comes from the orders already in your WooCommerce database. Nothing is sent anywhere, no external service, no shared blacklist.

The decision is stored on the order as it stood at the time, so months later you can still see what the deposit was based on rather than a recalculated answer.

Installing it

Install the free plugin. COD Deposit Rules is on WordPress.org and does the deposits themselves. This add-on needs it.
Buy above and download the zip. It arrives by email with your receipt.
Upload it under Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin. Activate it.
Paste your licence key. It is in the same receipt email. A box appears on the Plugins screen. This is what puts new versions in your own Updates screen, the way any other plugin does.
The per-customer settings appear on the COD Deposit Rules screen you already use. Nothing moves.

Questions

Why is this not on WordPress.org with the free plugin?

WordPress.org requires hosted plugins to be free and fully functional, with nothing locked behind a licence. That is a rule I agree with, so the paid features are not in the free plugin at all. They live here instead.

Does the free plugin stop working without this?

No. The free plugin is complete on its own and always will be. This adds one thing to it.

What happens if I stop paying?

The plugin keeps working. It is never locked or switched off. You stop getting updates and support. Deposits fall back to the flat amount if you deactivate it.

What is the licence key for?

Updates. Once it is pasted in, new versions show up in your normal WordPress Updates screen and install with one click. Without it the plugin still runs, you would just have to download a new zip by hand each time.

Does it work with the block checkout?

Yes. The free plugin handles both the classic and the block checkout, and this rides on the same path.

Does any customer data leave my site?

No. The record is counted from your own WooCommerce orders, on your own server. Once a day the plugin asks stackedboost.com whether a newer version exists, sending your licence key and your site address and nothing else.

Stop charging your best customers like your worst

One site, a year of updates, and a plugin that reads the orders you already have.
